Even before I started working with CSR, I was using my iPhone to read .pdfs. I used the default reader, and that was usually good enough, but if I’d wanted to do anything beyond skim through articles or short ebooks, I would’ve been pretty dissatisfied. Working at CSR has prompted me go through the various apps available and choose the one I like best.
After downloading a whole slew of .pdf-editing and viewing apps, I have to conclude that Adobe Reader is pretty much the best option. It’s not the app you want if you plan on editing the underlying document itself. But if what you want to do with the app is highlight, strikeout, and underline text, annotate, fill out forms, get signatures, and export to Dropbox or Google Drive, Adobe Reader is the way to go. Try it out!
