The Client Manager is responsible for nurturing the client relationship and engagement, and as such, grit, flexibility and respect, are paramount to succeed in this role.

Requirements
Strong communication, project management, and time-management skills
Experience in a professional service organization (law firm, medical practice, nonprofit, etc.) and/or management consultancy strongly preferred
Familiarity and willingness to use company systems including Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace applications as well as project management software.
Preference for experience using a CRM
Strong people skills, punctuated by living out the CSR values of tenacity, versatility, caring, and openness in both client and internal relationships
A high degree of professionalism and responsiveness
Reliable transportation and availability to commute to client meetings*
Reliable technology (including high-speed internet and reliable audio/visual) for virtual meetings and presentations
Responsibilities
Work closely with CSR Principal to hone client management, business, and networking skills
Work closely with client firms to grow their organization and help them achieve their personal and professional dreams
Skillfully manage client relationships to ensure existing clients are retained
Advise and consult with clients on strategy, operations, finance, HR, and other areas of business
Collaborate with a member of the Client Services Associate team to create project plans for client objectives
Standardize and streamline client business functions
Internally update and report out on current activities
Prospect and network for potential consultants/employees of CSR
Attend periodic 1x1 meetings with Principal
Because of the critical nature of engagements, it is expected that the consultant will be timely in monitoring and answering of both client and intra-CSR communications (i.e., phone messages, calls, e-mails, Google chat, texts, etc.). A sense of urgency is a vital component of the CSR service offering with a premium being placed on attention to detail that conveys CSR’s core values.
As appropriate and desired by the consultant - additional compensation can be earned by successful execution of these skills to bring on new clients:
Sales and Marketing
Targeting and researching new business prospects
Meeting/prospecting
Direct marketing
Build prospects/contacts through existing clients
Peer to peer networking
Develop/add to existing and maintain a prime prospect list
Regularly update CSR’s CRM program with client and prospect information, notes, future opportunities, regular, updated sales reports, etc.
Manage/maintain regular contact with companies on the prospect list
Create opportunities to pitch new accounts
Understand the business and marketing challenges of key prospects
Develop sales strategies for key prospects
Coordinate presentation/sales pitch approaches

Compensation
Commensurate with levels of engagement per account. Percentages of a client's fees are available for sourcing a client, managing the relationship, and completing the project work (“finding-minding-grinding”). Accounts that are sourced by the firm are assigned at the Principal's discretion, according to the consultant's capabilities. Assigned opportunities scale with the consultant’s demonstrated performance.

*While many client engagements are virtual arrangements, and we have Client Managers in the US as well as internationally, there are occasions which warrant in-person attendance.
