Strategy Law, LLP will be a full-service business law firm where business clients can get solutions to their legal issues and proactive legal planning from attorneys they trust and like working with. Job Summary
Strategy Law was formed on the premise that each client’s goals and needs are unique and legal advice should be personalized, exceptional and comprehensive. Our attorneys represent small to medium sized businesses, growth technology companies, financial institutions, and commercial real estate investors and developers. We take a client-centered, holistic approach to providing legal services and have built our practice as such. Our attorneys are experienced professionals who provide sound legal guidance to complement your business strategy, and take time to understand each client’s unique needs and goals. We are looking for an experienced, personable Employment Attorney with a robust background who is looking to work in a fun, fast-paced environment with a firm experiencing strong and sustained growth.
Expected Estimate: $200,000-300,000 (salary dependent on book of business and compensation formula)
Primary Responsibilities
Managing the firm’s employment practice including supervising employment related legal advice
Actively participate in the firm’s marketing and business development initiatives to promote the employment law practice including related client updates, blogs, etc.
Reviewing and advising on transactional employment matters, including, but not limited to:
Employee handbooks, policies and procedures, employment agreements, wage and hour advice.
Counseling businesses regarding hiring, termination and other employment matters.
Managing litigation matters (on the employer side) for clients from open to close
Working and collaborating with other attorneys within the firm as desired on a cross-referral basis
Qualifications
Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA accredited law school
Admission to practice and in good standing with the State Bar of California
Ideal Candidate Qualities
10+ years of Employment Law experience required
Motivated, proactive, respectful, friendly, ambitious
Resident of California (we are currently expanding outside of the Bay Area and into other parts of California, including Southern California, and, as such, will consider applicants from outside of the Bay Area)
Robust portable book of business (at least $250,000,-$500,000+ preferred)
