
Manny Hidalgo
Manny brings over 25 years of executive management experience, embodying the versatility and tenacity essential to transforming organizations into higher-performing, aligned institutions. He has a proven track record of working 'from the inside' to implement what CSR recommends , turning strategic plans into meaningful and financially rewarding improvements.
Manny’s hands-on (hard work) approach is clear from his results. As Executive Director of the Latino Economic Development Center, he drove the implementation of strategies that doubled the staff, tripled the budget, and deployed millions of dollars in micro-loans to underserved small businesses. His leadership as Executive Director of Shepherd’s Table, Inc. highlights his ability to manage complex operations, successfully serving over 150,000 meals annually to the community.
His deep insight into organizational effectiveness also stems from his experience as Chief Operating Officer for the National Community Reinvestment Coalition and as Director of the Office of Economic Opportunity for the US Small Business Administration.
Manny has served on the boards of the Coalition for Non-Profit Housing and Economic Development, Non-Profit Roundtable, and Nonprofit Montgomery. He is a recipient of the Eugene and Agnes E. Meyer Foundation’s Exponent Award and the Center for Non-Profit Advancement's EXCEL Leadership Award. He holds a B.A. in history from Georgetown University and an M.A. in Latin American and Caribbean Studies from Florida International University. He and his wife live in Silver Spring, MD and enjoy spending time with their four adult children.
