Laura is a senior level fundraising executive with more than 20 years of experience working with international and educational nonprofit organizations. A resourceful, goal-oriented development professional with a proven ability to build relationships with internal and external constituents, she has increased philanthropic and sponsorship revenue across all sectors through direct solicitations, grants, events, and broader partnership opportunities. She has served on, and consulted for, nonprofit boards and leadership teams to strengthen resource development programs and capital campaigns, address strategic planning and governance, brand building, including managing all constituent engagement programs. Her leadership style is collaborative and enthusiastic. She creates a positive, results-oriented work environment.


Prior to joining the CSR team, Laura has worked at several prestigious nonprofit organizations including the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), United States Institute of Peace, National Women’s History Museum, Global Good Fund and most recently The Freedom Initiative. She currently serves on the Advisory Board and Development Committee for the Land Trust of Virginia. Laura graduated from The American University with an M.A. International Affairs.


Laura enjoys yoga, running, hiking and international travel. Laura and her husband live in Northern Virginia, and their daughter is currently serving in the Peace Corps.
