Carl E. Patten, II is a native of Memphis, TN, but has lived in Atlanta for the past 18 years. Carl has 15 years of strategy, operations, and technology experience across multiple sectors including healthcare, pharmaceuticals, energy, financial services, high tech, nonprofit, and retail.
Carl has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), M.Div. in Hebrew Bible from the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC), and an M.B.A. from Emory University, Goizueta Business School. He is currently pursuing his D. Min from Emory University, Candler School of Theology.
Professionally, Carl is a career consultant. He has worked in strategy and operations consulting for 15 years. His experience includes NTT Data as Global Healthcare Innovation Director and Accenture as a Healthcare Strategist and Technology Architect. In his spare time, Carl likes to cook, travel, and volunteer. He recently began a hobby collecting cufflinks.
Carl has recently taken on several new endeavors. In 2019, he founded ExcelR8 Advisory Services, a strategy consultancy, LOGIC-8, a global ministry, and humanitarian aid organization focused on demonstrating the love and compassion of Christ, and Innov8 & Spark, an education enrichment program to help youth become better global citizens and innovators by solving real-world problems in cross-cultural contexts. Carl was recently named as Top 40 Under 40 for The Whole Truth Magazine.
